Long Bio

String 'n Bones is an Atlanta-based, acoustic-driven outfit that celebrates the roots of American music — from San Francisco to San Antonio and on to the Southland — without all the frills. Their sound fuses good-time rock, traditional folk, blues, and a hint of old-school country and bluegrass, held together by tasty musicianship, soothing harmonies, and a song selection that never disappoints.

The band formed in April 2015 when members of The High Mountain Ramblers, Deep Blue Sun, The Squirrelheads, and Slim Chance & The Convicts came together for a festival jam and quickly realized they'd stumbled onto something worth keeping. They've been playing together ever since.

While their repertoire spans a wide range of original and traditional Americana, String 'n Bones has developed a particular affinity for the acoustic Grateful Dead songbook, drawing from classics like "Reckoning" and "American Beauty" and beyond. They aren't afraid to let a song breathe into a stirring jam when the moment calls for it.

Five musicians. One room. A sound that makes people forget they were just passing through.
